Summary: Taco Rock, a renowned Tex-Mex eatery, is prepping to open its doors in Oakton, Fairfax County, by the close of this month. This establishment promises a delightful atmosphere, exquisite cocktails, and unmatched tacos and street food.
Oakton’s food scene is about to get a Tex-Mex twist. Taco Rock is gearing up to occupy a 3,206-square-foot slot in Oakton Shopping Center (located at 2930 Chain Bridge Road, Suite 102) before August concludes, as confirmed by Divaris Real Estate’s Assistant VP, Christopher Saa.
Christopher Saa emphasized the distinctive ambiance of Taco Rock. He mentioned in a press release earlier this year, “For those who cherish a vibrant ambiance, exceptional cocktails, and undoubtedly the finest tacos and street food, Taco Rock is the go-to place.” He added, “Mike and his team have pioneered an incredibly captivating concept that has received significant acclaim in the market. As of now, we’re actively looking forward to future endeavors and are very much in the expansion phase.”
In a disclosure to FFXnow last year, Taco Rock revealed plans of expanding to Liberty Market, Lorton’s mixed-use development. This new venture will span roughly 2,770 square feet within the center, which also hosts the supermarket chain, Lidl.
The press brief dated Feb. 13 outlines the prospective autumn launch of the Lorton outlet. This will mark the fifth Taco Rock branch in Northern Virginia, joining its sister outlets in Rosslyn, Alexandria, and Falls Church.
Established in 2019 by the culinary genius Chef Mike Cordero, along with his sons, Nick and Anthony Cordero, and co-partner Chef Stefano Marzano, Taco Rock has earned its fame primarily for its signature blue corn tortilla tacos and delectable ice cream churro sandwiches. The added charm is the rock and roll tunes that accompany the dining experience.
