Salted Chocolate and Peanut Bliss Bars

These bliss bars combine the savory flavor of salted peanuts with the rich, creamy taste of chocolate. A perfect snack for when you want something sweet and salty!


  1. For the Base:
  • 1 cup dates, pitted and soaked for 10 minutes
  • 1 cup peanuts, unsalted
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

2. For the Chocolate Topping:

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • A pinch of sea salt (for sprinkling)

3. For the Peanut Butter Layer:

  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • A pinch of sea salt


  1. Prepare the Base:
  • In a food processor, blend the soaked dates, peanuts, and sea salt together until it forms a sticky mixture.
  • Press this mixture into the bottom of a lined square or rectangular dish. Place it in the freezer to set while you prepare the next layer.

2. Peanut Butter Layer:

  • In a bowl, mix together the peanut butter, maple syrup or honey, melted coconut oil, and sea salt until smooth.
  • Spread this mixture over the date and peanut base and return to the freezer to set for about 10 minutes.

3. Chocolate Topping:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil, stirring until it becomes a smooth mixture.
  • Pour the chocolate over the peanut butter layer in the dish, spreading it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle the pinch of sea salt over the chocolate layer.

4. Set and Serve:

  • Place the dish back in the freezer for about 30 minutes, or until everything is solid.
  • Once set, remove from the freezer and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, using a sharp knife, cut into bars or squares.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
