  5. Scoop out two tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll into balls, and flatten into ½” thick discs. If desired, press a few extra chocolate chips on top.
  6. Place cookies at least 2” apart on the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are slightly golden. Avoid overbaking.
  7. Optionally sprinkle warm cookies with flaky sea salt.
  8. Let cookies cool completely before storing in an airtight container. They can be stored at room temperature for up to five days.
