Golden Radish Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 bundles of radish (about 30-36 radishes depending on size)
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Wash the radishes thoroughly, then trim the stems and roots. Depending on their size, cut them into halves or quarters.
  2. In a medium saucepan or skillet, combine the water, sugar, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, add the radishes to the pan. Reduce the heat to maintain a consistent simmer.
  4. Cover the saucepan and allow the radishes to cook until they soften, which should take about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the lid and continue to cook the radishes until the liquid reduces to a glossy glaze.
  6. Serve the radishes hot. If there are leftovers, refrigerate them for at least 2 hours.
  7. Leftover radishes can be added to green salads or even included in a stir-fry for a delicious twist.
